REED Avocados

Reed avocados are large, round, and beautifully green with a thick skin and rich, creamy flesh. Their smooth, buttery texture and mild, nutty flavor make them one of the most enjoyable avocados to eat fresh, whether you are slicing them for salads, spreading them on toast, scooping them into guacamole, or simply enjoying them with a little salt and lime.

Unlike Hass avocados, Reed avocados do not turn dark when they ripen. Their skin stays green, so the best way to know when they are ready is by feel. When the avocado gives slightly under gentle pressure, it is ready to cut open and enjoy.

 Because Reed avocados are naturally large and round, each box will include fewer avocados than a typical Hass avocado box, but each avocado is generously sized and packed with rich, creamy flesh.

Our 3 lb Reed avocado box will typically include about 2 to 4 avocados.
Our 5 lb Reed avocado box will typically include about 4 to 6 avocados.
Our 10 lb Reed avocado box will typically include about 8 to 12 avocados.
